About the Role

As a Mobile Oil Change and Detailing Technician, you will be responsible for performing oil changes and detailing services at customer locations. You will be the face of our business, interacting directly with customers and ensuring their vehicles receive the best care.

Responsibilities:

1.Perform mobile oil changes, including the safe disposal of old oil and replacing filters.
2.Provide detailing services, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and interior cleaning.
3.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the service vehicle and at customer locations.
4.Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.
5.Communicate effectively with customers, offering excellent customer service and explaining services when necessary.
6.Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high-quality, detail-oriented work.

Requirements:

1.Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
2.Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
3.Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and detailing techniques (training provided).
4.Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
5.Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
6.Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced, mobile environment.
7.Must be comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.

Preferred:

1.Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or detailing is a plus, but not required.
2.ASE Certification or equivalent (preferred, but not required).
3.Ability to travel within the local service area.

Requirements


  1. Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require vocational training or certification).

    • Prior experience in an automotive service or repair environment (preferred but not always required).

  2. Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of basic automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.

    • Ability to perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and other basic maintenance tasks.

    • Understanding of various automotive fluids (engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, etc.).

    • Experience with automotive tools and equipment (e.g., oil drain pans, wrenches, tire changers, etc.).

  3. Certifications (Preferred):

    • ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) – Entry-level certifications in maintenance and light repair.

    • Certifications in specific areas like fluid maintenance or oil service (if applicable).

  4. Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 lbs).

    • Ability to kneel, bend, and work under vehicles for extended periods.

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

  5. Attention to Detail:

    • Ability to accurately check and replace fluids, filters, and other components according to manufacturer specifications.

    • Strong attention to safety and cleanliness when working with oils and automotive products.

  6. Customer Service Skills:

    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, explaining services and offering recommendations.

    • Professional demeanor and friendly attitude when interacting with customers.

    • Willingness to provide outstanding service and address customer concerns.

  7. Teamwork and Collaboration:

    • Ability to work well in a team environment and assist other technicians as needed.

    • Collaborative attitude with peers and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.

  8. Safety and Compliance Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and the proper handling of hazardous materials (e.g., oils, fluids, and chemicals).

    • Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

  9. Problem-Solving Skills:

    • Ability to identify and resolve basic mechanical issues and provide solutions within the scope of the job.

  10. Dependability and Punctuality:

  11. Strong work ethic with a focus on punctuality and reliability.

  12. Ability to maintain a consistent and steady work pace.

  13. Driver’s License:

  14. Must have a valid driver’s license to operate vehicles as this is essential for our business model

At Cumberland Valley Mobile Oil and Detailing, we provide high-quality mobile oil change and detailing services directly to our customers, wherever they are. Founded in March 2025 by a passionate college student, our goal is to make vehicle maintenance more convenient and accessible.
